The Shippen

An  impressive and roomy  luxury  stone  barn conversion in an attractive setting on the farm. There is a large rear patio area with table and seating, also suitable for children to play in. For the children there is the farm play field with goal posts & swings.  Approx 5 minutes stroll over  to  the farmís 2 ponds. One pond (approx 66 yards long) was restocked with coarse fish (tench,golden rudd & carp). Tench up to 3 lbs and carp up to 10 lbs. The second pond dates back to mediaeval times and was originally used as a carp pond by monks in the 12th cenrtury and is one of the oldest  carp ponds in the country (featured on a T.V. programme). The pond has now been set aside as a nature sanctuary and migratory birds including ducks commonly make an appearance. The ponds are in a pretty, wooded setting, making a great venue for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the scenery.  The more energetic may enjoy the walk across the adjacent field (with panoramic views over the countryside)  along the footpath through the farmís 13 acres of woodland.
The first bedroom has 1 double bed  & en-suite shower room with shower, washbasin & toilet, & T.V.  The second bedroom   has 1 double bed with en-suite shower room with shower unit, washbasin & toilet, & T.V. The third bedroom (a large family room)  has 4 single beds.Also a family bathroom with bath, overhead shower, toilet and washbasin,  which has a door leading into bedroom 3 and a door leading onto landing. Large downstairs open plan area. The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine & dishwasher. The lounge/dining area has a widescreen T.V. (surround sound) & DVD.  Easy to keep warm with wall mounted electric radiators in all rooms including bedooms  and also a feature woodburner electric fire in lounge area. Adjacent  off  the road parking space for 3 cars. No pets.
